Terms & Conditions of Service

Governed by the Laws of Ireland and compliant with the Consumer Rights Act 2022.

1. Agreement to Terms & Corporate Entity

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you (whether as a Homeowner seeking services or a Tradesperson providing services) and MyFixer Technologies Ireland Ltd. ("MyFixer", "we", "us", or "our"), registered in Ireland with corporate offices in Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2.

By accessing our website, mobile applications, or booking services, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms, as well as our GDPR Privacy Policy.

2. Platform Services & Marketplace Role

MyFixer operates a digital technology marketplace platform connecting verified, independent skilled tradespeople ("MyFixer Pros") with homeowners, tenants, and property managers ("Customers") across Ireland.

  • Verification Obligation: MyFixer independently verifies government photo IDs, trade qualifications (City & Guilds, QQI, Safe Electric / RGII), and minimum €1,000,000 Public Liability Insurance policies before approving any Pro profile.
  • Direct Contract for Services: Upon booking confirmation, a contract for the execution of trade services is formed directly between the Customer and the assigned Tradesperson.

3. Consumer Rights & Cancellation Policy (Ireland & EU)

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland) and the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013:

  • Cancellation Window: Customers may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge up to 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment start time.
  • Late Cancellation Fee: Cancellations made within less than 2 hours of the appointment or upon pro arrival may incur a callout fee equal to 1 hour of the agreed service rate to compensate the tradesperson for travel and lost time.
  • Satisfaction & Workmanship Standard: If a job is executed below statutory trade quality standards, MyFixer facilitates dispute resolution and re-inspection protocols.

4. Pricing, Payments & Platform Fees

All pricing displayed on MyFixer includes applicable Irish Value Added Tax (VAT) where required. The total fee charged to the Customer consists of:

  1. The Tradesperson's hourly or job-based service fee; and
  2. The MyFixer Platform & Insurance Fee (€8.00 flat fee per booking).

Payments are processed securely via PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. Funds are authorized upon booking and settled upon verified completion of the service.

5. Obligations of Registered Tradespeople (MyFixer Pro)

Tradespeople registering on MyFixer Pro agree to:

  • Maintain active Public Liability Insurance of at least €1,000,000 throughout their active registration.
  • Provide authentic, unexpired trade certificates (City & Guilds, QQI, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Undergo periodic background and Garda vetting checks.
  • Perform all works in compliance with Irish Building Regulations and safety standards.

6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted under Irish law, MyFixer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform use. Tradespeople remain independently liable for the quality and safety of works carried out, backed by mandatory Public Liability Insurance.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ireland.
